Welcome to the website launch point for a study into trends in the management of international assignments. This webpage provides an introduction to the study, delivers the informed consent process, and offers instructions for participation.

The title of the study is, International Assignment Management in Asia:  A Study of the Relation between Social Support Mechanisms and Assignment Success among Western Females. The objective of this study is to measure the affect of social support mechanisms on the success of Western females on Asian expatriate assignments. At the request of a participant upon completion of the research, a copy of the study's executive summary will be sent forward to reveal the findings; however, participants are considered volunteers and will not receive remuneration for participation.

You have received an invitation to participate in this study based on your affiliation with an organization involved in the management of international assignments. Your participation has been requested based on your knowledge of or experience with international assignments. As noted, participation in the study is voluntary; you may discontinue study participation at any time for any reason should you feel uncomfortable with a question or fail to understand a question. Your participation will involve the completion of 70 survey questions. Please click next to proceed to the survey items. The questionnaire completion time will take approximately 25 minutes. Please complete the assessment in one sitting, as an interruption will require you to complete the survey again from the start. Your individual responses to all questions will be held confidentially and will not be attributable to you as recorded in outcome of the research. The raw data from all participants in the study will also be securely maintained in an office safe for a period of ten years. Participation in this study involves minimal risk to all participants. You may experience mild emotional reactions based on your unique personal experiences with international assignments. As noted if this should occur, you are not obligated to complete the study and can discontinue your participation at any time.
